Get to Know Your Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer
Who the heck is Chris Waud?
I’m a dad of two and a photographer with a passion for capturing honest, real moments.
I have a long history with photography, the plan was to be a fashion and portrait photographer after completing my BA Honours Degree but then I found out I quite like traveling the globe capturing weddings living a semi rock star life style half the year and like a hermit for the other half!
I've being photographing wedding days for 15 years and I’ve come to the conclusion capturing a day in a authentic and real way is truly the greatest way to photograph a wedding day.
I specialise in a relaxed, no-nonsense approach to wedding photography, focusing on what matters most… your big day. Whether you're having a wild celebration or a laid-back, emotional gathering, my style is all about letting you enjoy your day while I document the special moment as they unfold. No forced poses, just real, authentic memories.
Why I Became a Wedding Photographer
I love my story that has led me to taking photos, as it’s something that I have done all my life.
Before I was born my grandmother sadly passed away and my dad wanted to find a way to be closer my grandad.
My grandad was a very creative chap. He did everything from sculpture to photography. So my dad bought himself a camera and taught himself how to use it so he could be closer to his dad. We lost my father back in 2007 so having that connection to both my father and grandfather is very important to me as they have influenced and still influence me in such a way they have allowed me to provide for my own family.
Having a “proper” camera around me growing up really sparked my interest in taking photos. Something which I now pass on to my daughter who is very good at taking photos!
During my studies in my degree I found I had a love of documentary and street photography. Since then it’s been a wild ride combining these styles in to my wedding photography!
