Scale, Liverpool - Becca and Russ
The Tale of Two Dresses!
Let’s rewind a few years when most of us wedding suppliers were in a state of panic while the industry ground to a halt. Weddings cancelled and some times re arranged multiple times. But a select few decided to go for it no matter what restrictions the governement decided to impose on us. Becca and Russ were one of those! I got the call to let me know their small Liverpool wedding was going ahead with limited numbers so I had the pleasure of heading over to Liverpool to spend a few hours with them and photograph their small (in numbers) wedding.
Now comes the tale of the first dress. The most beautiful dress Becca found hanging in an Oxfam shop window. I couldn’t imagine the excitement in finding such a pretty dress let alone trying it on and fitting!
Fast forward a year the tale of the second dress starts when Becca and Russ threw a party for everyone who couldn’t come to the first wedding. The went ahead with their original plans and went back to their church for a blessing and then to their venue for the big party!
When Becca was working in London and she passed a dry cleaners that had a dress hanging up. She popped in and enquired if the dress was going to be for sale and it was!
It was fantastic again to pop over to Liverpool to photograph their wedding and see some familiar faces when the restrictions had been lifted. And also to congratulate Becca and Russ on their pregnancy!
The was an epic adventure I got to be apart of and document.
