A love letter to 2024!

Press play on this slide show to take a look at some great moments from 2024

2024 will be the year I’ve felt a HUGE desire from people who truly want a time in their lives documented in a way they can be themselves. I’ve had such an amazing bunch of people want to stay clear of the fakery and embrace REAL moments. I’ve had the loveliest and kindest people welcome me in to their lives if only for a day and allow me do something I truly love doing (photography, duh!)

So this little slide show isn’t to celebrate my photography skills 💪 but a celebration of 35 couples from all over the UK that went out and had the best time getting married and trusted a random guy from Lincolnshire to capture it for them!

I’ve felt the wedding photography industry has been in a strange space for a very long time with a certain way things should be done, the photographer stepping in telling you what to do, how to stand, how to pose or where to look to achieve a curated version of yourselves for the sake of a pretty photo that someone else has had done and I fell in to this way of thinking for a while.

There’s a great quote from photographer Ethan Russel:

"I don't tell people what to do. Sometimes, when you don't tell people what to do, you get something that they themselves bring to the table. You get stuff you wouldn't otherwise get."

And I know this to be the case from experience, when I don’t step in the things you had no idea would happen does happen!

A.I has truly arrived in our lives and who knows where that’s taking us. But I do know there will be a higher demand for the exact opposite of what it brings us. Already as a society there’s a real shift away from a curated online persona. It’s bloody hard to pretend life is perfect and I am surprised we have all been able to keep up the charade for so long! So embrace the unknown warts and all and book a photographer you like and trust to capture those moments for you if you want your day captured in a real and honest way!

Here are the photos from the slide show. I had no ideas 90% of these moments were going to happen we simply let the day unfold!
